February 2003:
Just prior to our opening, Mr. Reynolds invited the cast and director of the film Deliverance to visit the museum and view the display on that award winning film.
February 9th - The Burt Reynolds and Friends Museum opened to the public after a year of dedication by craftsman and volunteers that converted an abandoned building into a beautiful showplace.
March 2003:
March 31 - Burt Reynolds launched the Burt Reynolds and Friends Museum's educational programs by personally teaching a master class in acting for film, television and theater. The three week class was held three nights per week for a minimum of 4 hours per night beginning March 31. Dates of classes were March 31, April 1, 3, 7, 8, 10, 14, 15, 17 and 21.
The class was limited to 16 students with students being given reading and acting assignments in preparation for the class. This class was for experienced actors and potential students who had to audition. Students who do not qualify for the class were given the opportunity to monitor the class as an auditor and observe the entire class, participating in question and answer sessions. Students presented a final showcase of the Master Class at the end of the program.
Fee for the Mr. Reynolds' Master Acting Class (minimum 36 hours): $1,000.
Fee for Auditing the Master Acting Class: $500

April 2003:

May 2003:
May 5 - An ESPN crew filmed Mr. Reynolds' introductions for their "Reel Classics" movie series.
May 28 - FSU announcer Gene Deckerhoff and crew taped a Burt Reynolds interview at the museum for "Great Moments in Florida State Football."
May 31 - Cocktail Reception for sponsors of Burt Reynolds and Friends Museum Outreach Program. The Outreach Program targets high school seniors who are not financially able to further their drama education beyond high school. Sponsorships are $500 per student to attend acting classes three days a week for a three week period. Burt Reynolds and actor/teacher Joe Petrullo were the instructors.

June 2003:
June 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 - Outreach Acting Class held - Sundays 5 pm to 8 pm, Mondays & Tuesdays 2 pm to 5 pm.
June 9, 10, 12, 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, 26- Master Acting Class II held - Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 7 pm until finished. This class was for experienced actors and was taught by Burt Reynolds.
June 17 - Master Acting Class special guest, Instructor Bruce Dern.
June 11 - Jupiter Medical Center Community Outreach Lecture 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. "Balloon Kyphoplasty: A breakthrough in the treatment of osteoporosis-related fractures." Dr. David C. Campbell, M.D., Orthopedic Surgeon.
July 2003:

October 2003:
October 19 - Documentary Filmmaking Class from 7 pm to 10 pm. offering a step-by-step study in the production of a documentary and included information on: Choosing and researching your subject, Your targeted market, Deciding format, How to get funding, Pre-production, Production, Post-production (focusing on editing), and How to market your film.
The cast of instructors included Frank Eberling who for more than 40 years has written, shot and directed many award winning documentaries. Shane Phillips - Editor of Thunderhead Productions of Palm Beach. Jim Lewis shared his experience as a camera operator on many Hollywood sets including Evening Shade, Cybil, Cannonball Run and Sharkey's Machine to name a few. Other presenters included Chris Conway who is a sound expert, Irv Goodnoff DP and producer, the Palm Beach County Film Office and other experts in the field of filmmaking.
The workshop consisted of twelve (12) three hour-long classes beginning Sunday, October 19 from 7 to 10 pm, running Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. Cost for the series was $400.
The Willie E. Gary/Burt Reynolds Outreach Program scholarship fund was created for qualified financially disadvantaged students.
November 2003:
November 8 - 25 Days of Culture special all day exhibit with a lecture at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. by our Museum Director Mike Daniel who is a renowned underwater explorer. Mike will lecture on his discovery of Blackbeard's Flagship, the Queen Anne's Revenge and the Maravilla, the richest Spanish Galleon found in America.
November 15 - 25 Days of Culture special exhibition of award-winning art by Norma Conway, a well-known artist and Jupiter resident for more than 35 years. Meet the artist from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
November 16 - Burt Reynolds and Friends Museum Screenwriting Class presented by Frank Eberling. The one evening class began at 7 p.m. and the cost was $75.
November 17 - Jupiter Medical Center Community Outreach Lecture 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. "Living Wills" by Sue Goldberg
November 22 - 25 Days of Culture special exhibition of award-winning art by Diane Richmont Hall. Meet the artist from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
November 30- Irv Goodnoff conducted a seminar on filmmaking and how it relates to the actor.
